What the site does

No cookies. The site sets no cookies, first-party or third-party.
No third-party scripts. No analytics, ad, or social scripts. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
One setting stays on your device. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser saves that choice in local storage. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
One form. The newsletter signup box sends the email address you type straight to Kit, our newsletter provider. It's a plain form: no Kit script loads on this site. See Newsletter below.

What our host sees

Like any website, our hosting provider handles each request and may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use those logs to identify or track you. The site is hosted on Vercel today and is moving to Cloudflare Pages. Each handles this data under its own policy: Vercel privacy policy, Cloudflare privacy policy.

If we add analytics

We may add Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. Cloudflare says it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics" and does not fingerprint visitors (source). We'll update this page before we turn it on.

If you email us

If you write to [email protected], we keep your message and address to reply and to fix what you reported. We don't add you to any list. Ask us to delete it and we will.

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to run the newsletter. When you sign up, the form sends your email address directly to Kit, which stores it and sends the emails on our behalf. Kit handles that data under the Kit privacy policy. When you submit the form you leave our site for a Kit page, and Kit's own policy covers what happens there.

Double opt-in. Kit first emails you a confirmation link. You're only added to the list after you click it. If you don't, you get nothing more from us.
Only your email. We ask for nothing else, and we use it only to send the newsletter.
Unsubscribe anytime. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] and we'll remove and delete your address.
Never sold or shared. We don't sell, rent or share the list. Kit's recommendation network, which would suggest other newsletters to you, is turned off.

Links to other sites

Job pages link to the tools we test. Once you leave this site, the other site's privacy policy applies. If we add affiliate links, those links may let the tool's own site record that you came from us; we'll label them, as explained in how we make money.
